An interactive early music experience for young children and their families, featuring arrangements from Telemann's Don Quichotte suite and a meet-and-greet with the OAE wind family.
Oae Tots comes to Brighton Unitarian Church on Saturday 3 October, as part of the Brighton Early Music Festival 2026. It's an interactive early music experience created by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, aimed at children aged 2 to 5 and their parents or carers.
The session follows Don Quichotte as he dreams of fighting windmills alongside his faithful horse Rosinante and his servant Sancho Panza on his donkey. Young listeners hear arrangements from Telemann's Don Quichotte suite, and after the music, they get to meet the OAE wind family. It's designed to be an introduction to early music for the very young, so it's as much about the story and the instruments as it is about the playing.
