Singer-songwriter and guitarist Nick Heyward, best known as the frontman of Haircut 100, performs live in Brighton on his 'The 12 Dates of Christmas' tour.
Nick Heyward plays All Saints Church on The Drive in Brighton on Thursday 19 November, part of his The 12 Dates of Christmas tour. It's a series of intimate shows in churches and cathedrals across the country, and this one brings his catalogue into that acoustic, festive setting.
Most of us know him as the frontman of Haircut 100, the band that blended post-punk pop with a funky uplift and put out UK hits like 'Favourite Shirts', 'Love Plus One' and 'Fantastic Day'. Since then, he's worked across a few different modes. He earned a platinum record with Pelican West, worked with Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick, and toured with the likes of Belly, Lemonheads, Therapy? and Mazzy Star. His indie work has charted in the Top 5 and picked up plenty of acclaim along the way.
There's a bit of new ground to cover here too. The band's long-awaited follow-up to Pelican West, titled Boxing The Compass, came out on 19 June 2026, and Heyward is also working on new solo material. The set will pull from that whole catalogue, the old and the new, stripped back for the room.
