Live punk gig with Family of Strangers as headliners, supported by Vampyra and Temper Tantrum.
Family of Strangers headline the eighteenth Moonpunx Sunday Matinee at Pipeline on Sunday 6 September. It's a punk afternoon, and they're sharing the bill with Vampyra and Temper Tantrum.
Family of Strangers formed in November 2023 and have spent the last couple of years playing around 40 gigs across Brighton and London. They do fast, original punk with a hint of ska, driving guitars, gritty vocals and emotionally charged songwriting that blends classic punk urgency with melodic hooks and big choruses. If you've caught them around town, you'll know the sound.
Main support comes from Vampyra, a horror punk metal quartet from Medway who formed in 2021. The current lineup is Madame Hex, Count Venom, Ingrid Orlok and Boingo the Clown. They won the Kent Metal 2 the Masses event and earned a spot on Bloodstock's New Blood stage, and they describe themselves as 'the band straight out of your nightmares'. Also on the bill are Temper Tantrum, a Riot Grrrl punk band from the West Midlands fronted by George and Ayesha.

It's a matinee, so it starts in the afternoon rather than the evening. The music kicks off at 13:30 at Pipeline, 6 Little East Street, BN1 1HT, and tickets are £8.80 including the booking fee.
