Herbal tea workshop led by master herbalist Caitlin, in which participants taste eight herbs and blend their own custom herbal tea to take home.
Magical Tea Making is running at Alchymis over three dates this November, with master herbalist Caitlin leading the sessions. It's a workshop on phytotherapy, the study of plants used for medicinal purposes, and the whole thing is built around the act of blending your own herbal tea.
Caitlin frames tea making as a ritual that's part magic and part medicine, and that's the energy she brings to the table. You'll spend the session tasting, touching and learning about eight different herbs, so you're not just picking things at random—you're getting a proper feel for what each plant brings to the mix. From there, you select and blend your own custom herbal tea, crafted with intention to fuel the body, mind and spirit. It's as much about the process as the result.
When the session wraps up, you don't leave empty-handed: everyone takes home their own 50g package of the blend they made, so you can keep brewing it at home long after the workshop is over.
