The festive film Love Actually is screened with a full live orchestra performing its score in perfect synchronisation.
Love Actually comes to the Brighton Centre on Monday 21 December, with the film screened on the big screen and its score performed live by a full orchestra. It's the movie as a concert: the film runs as normal, but the music is handed over to the orchestra, which plays Craig Armstrong's score in synchronisation with the action on screen.
Set in contemporary London in the weeks before Christmas, Love Actually weaves together a dozen love stories — romantic, sad and sometimes stupid — and has become a Christmas tradition for many. The film is carried by an all-star ensemble, with Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Bill Nighy, Martine McCutcheon, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and Martin Freeman. The live format puts the music at the centre, with the orchestra taking over the score while the film plays out on the big screen.

It's a seated show, and it's restricted to ages 15 and over. Doors open at 6:30pm, so you've got plenty of time to get settled before the film starts. If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a Monday night, just a few days before Christmas, so it's one of those things you'll want to get sorted well in advance.
