Interactive stand-up comedy where the audience co-creates a choose-your-own-adventure story with Juliette Burton.
Juliette Burton is back at the Caroline of Brunswick on Tuesday 10 November, with Multiverse in Progress. It's part of her monthly residency at the pub, where she opens the doors to an ever-expanding creative universe. The format mixes stand-up, interactive games, theatrical experiments, witchcraft, superheroes and board games with whatever obsession she's currently exploring, and each night is part of the same ongoing adventure with the audience, so no two shows are the same.
This particular edition is billed as a game night: an interactive stand-up odyssey in which the audience plays together to shape the story. She describes it as part video game, part stand-up and part collective hero's journey, with the crowd co-creating a choose-your-own-adventure story as it unfolds. If you've been to previous nights, this one continues that same thread; if it's your first, you're stepping into a story that's already in motion.
Burton brings a fair bit to the table: she's an award-winning actress, comedian, writer and former BBC broadcast journalist. That mix of backgrounds comes through in the way she pulls from different worlds โ one night it's board games, the next it's witchcraft โ and weaves them into a single, evolving narrative. Because the audience helps steer the direction, the night changes based on who's in the room and what they decide.
