A long overdue debut UK tour from Australian comedy star Jimmy Rees, bringing his hit show In Reel Life to Brighton.
Jimmy Rees brings his show In Reel Life to the Brighton Dome on Friday 26 February 2027, as part of what's being billed as a long-overdue debut UK tour. It's a fair description: the Australian comedian has spent years building a massive following in the southern hemisphere, playing to 150,000 people there, and this is his first proper run of dates across the UK. The show comes off the back of a run at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe, so by the time it reaches Brighton, it'll have had a good stretch of road behind it.
If you've come across him online, you'll know the scale of it. He's an internet sensation with 4.5 million social media followers, and his audience spans all generations rather than sticking to one particular age group. The comedy itself is built on on-point social observations and razor-sharp satire, and it doesn't stop at stand-up. In Reel Life mixes stand-up with character and sketch comedy, and it weaves in multi-media throughout the set, so it's more of a variety show than a simple one-person routine. Critics have called it a 'dazzling display of wit, timing, and sheer skill'.

The show is presented by Mick Perrin Worldwide, and it carries an age recommendation of 15+, so it's not one for the younger crowd. Tickets are £32, and Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival members save £2 on full-price tickets. The performance starts at 20:00, with doors opening at 19:15, at the Brighton Dome in the Corn Exchange.
