A night of UK indie, pop rock and dad bangers at Dust, with dress-up and entry from £3.
Indie Rock Night Dad Rock takes over Dust on Saturday 10 October, a night built around the music your dad loves. It's presented by Dust, and the whole thing is an 18+ event.
DJBrighton is on the decks, playing what's billed as 'UK dad bangers, indie, pop rock and guilty pleasures'. The set list draws from the kind of names that usually dominate a dad's record collection: Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Blur, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes, Muse, Coldplay, Florence & the Machine and Hozier. It's a broad sweep of UK indie and pop rock, with the 'guilty pleasures' side of things left open to interpretation.
The night leans into the joke of the title, too. There'll be dad-themed tattoos and dad-shade sunglasses to get you in the spirit, and there's a free shot if you turn up dressed like a dad — so if you've got a pair of New Balance trainers, a tucked-in polo or a fleece that's seen better days, this is your moment to wear them out in public.
