Halloween Spooktacular

Lizzie Curious and Mikee Hollywood are taking over the bewitched backroom of The Railway Inn in Portslade on Saturday 31 October for the Halloween Spooktacular. They're not alone, either — a coven of special guest DJs will be joining them throughout the night.

They've billed the evening as a 'fang-tastic den of iniquity', and the music follows suit. The whole thing is built around 'pumpkin dance music', with the DJs dropping house tunes given a spooky Halloween twist. If you're into house, it's a chance to hear it with a seasonal spin rather than just the usual club set.

Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, and they've given a few ideas to get you started: fallen angels, fairytale villains, vampires, and disco zombies are all on the table. There are killer prizes for the best-dressed, so if you've got a costume you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is probably it. It's the kind of night where going all out pays off.

Tickets are £12 and sold via Skiddle, and they're refundable only if the event doesn't go ahead. The night kicks off at 19:00, with last entry by 21:30, so if you're coming from elsewhere in Brighton, you've got a decent window to get there before the doors close.
