A winter spectacle celebrating the city's underground alternative drag scene with a gothic-glamorous dress code, featuring high-flying performances and a cash prize.
Brighton's Big Drag Pageant returns to the Brighton Dome Concert Hall on Thursday 10 December, bringing the city's underground alternative drag scene to one of its biggest stages. It's billed as the city's biggest and most glamorous alternative drag competition, and it's a winter fixture that's already written itself into local drag history for taking the unique, outrageous side of the scene and putting it in front of a proper crowd.
This year's edition comes with a horrifying twist. The organisers are leaning into a gothic-glamorous dress code they've described as 'Ghouls in Gowns, Gothic Glamour and Camp Krampus', while keeping things chic. It's a celebration of the 'drop dead gorgeous', so if you're coming, there's a clear nod towards the dark and the dramatic for your own outfit. The night is built as a radically inclusive celebration, with BSL interpretation throughout.
On stage, Alfie Ordinary hosts as all-star contestants battle for a huge cash prize. Alongside the competition, there are infamous judges, surprises, high-flying performances and killer runways. It's strictly 18+.
