A night of new music discovery with Dumbhead, presented by Volks Brighton. 18+ event.
Dumbhead are playing Volks Club on Wednesday 11 November, as part of a night called Gone Fishin'. It's presented by Joy, who describe the series as a night of new music discovery, not tied to any one space or time, built around curated, thought-provoking line-ups of exciting artists. Dumbhead are the first band to join the bill, with more to be announced.
They're a three-piece from Naarm/Melbourne, and the sound they've built is hard to pin to a single genre. It's bass-heavy and draws on experimental electronica, trip hop and live beat-making, and they're known for immersive, unpredictable live shows. If you're into music that leans into the electronic side of things rather than the traditional band setup, this is the one to keep an eye on.
