Over-18s grunge tribute show with Ghosts of Seattle playing the hits of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots.
Ghosts of Seattle bring their grunge tribute to The Brunswick on Saturday 5 December, a night that looks back at the sound of the early nineties rather than any one band. They call themselves 'The UK's Leading 90's Grunge Tribute', and the set is built around that whole era: the heavy riffs, the distorted guitars, and the raw vocals that defined the Seattle scene.
The set runs for about two hours and pulls from the greatest hits of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots. It's a wide sweep of the genre, so you'll hear the big songs that everyone knows alongside a deep cut or two thrown in for the real fans. They play it note-for-note, so the focus is on the songs as they were recorded rather than a reimagined version.
It's a professional act that's played packed venues across London, the Midlands and the South Coast, and they say their last seven shows have been sell-outs. If you've got a soft spot for that particular era of rock, this is a good way to hear the big names from the scene in one go.
