Ghost Walk Dinner

The Ghost Walk of The Lanes is back for a few dates this autumn, with the next one on Friday 14 August. It's Brighton's longest-running ghost walk, and it takes you through the city's oldest and most haunted quarter. The tour itself lasts about 80 minutes, led by actor and master storyteller Rob Marks, who unravels the spooky history of the Lanes. If you've lived here a while, you know the Lanes are more than just shopping—they're a maze of narrow alleys and hidden corners, and this is one of the best ways to see them with someone who actually knows the stories behind them.

What makes this a bit different from the usual tour is what comes after. Once the walk is over, the group is taken to the No.1 Bar & Bistro at the Queens Hotel, where a welcome cocktail gives way to a three-course dinner with a glass of wine. The room looks out over Brighton Pier, so you've got the view of the seafront to keep you company while you eat. It turns a quick walk into a full evening out, and it's a good way to wind down after the ghost stories.

If the August date doesn't work, there are three more to choose from: Thursday 17 September, Friday 30 October, and Friday 13 November. All of them start at 18:00, and the walk always begins in the Lanes before moving on to the hotel. Tickets start from £59 per person, and that covers the tour, the welcome cocktail, the three-course dinner, and the glass of wine.
