Weekly club night at the Black Lion venue featuring house, R&B, disco and UKG music played by resident DJs.
Friday Nights at Black Lion are back at Black Lion on Friday 18 September, part of a weekly run that turns the pub on Black Lion Street into a Brighton club night. It's the venue's own night, and the format is straightforward: a range of genres, from house and R&B to disco and UKG, played by DJs to keep the energy high and the dancefloor full. It's a broad mix, so you'll hear house and R&B sitting alongside disco and UK garage throughout the night.
If you've missed the most recent one, it's worth knowing this is a regular thing. The sessions run every Friday from 22:00, with dates on 11 September, 18 September, 25 September, 2 October, 9 October, and 16 October. It's a six-week stretch, so if you can't make this particular Friday, there are plenty more to choose from over the next month and a half.
Every week we pick ๐ the 5 best ๐ things to do in Brighton and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Entry is restricted to over-18s, and the standard ticket is free. One thing to keep in mind: the free ticket works as a queue jump rather than a guarantee of admission when the room is at capacity, so it's more about getting in quicker than securing a spot. The night kicks off at 22:00 at Black Lion, 14 Black Lion Street, Brighton BN1 1ND.
