The Perfume Studio is bringing its Fragrances Design Experience to The Old Ship Hotel on Kings Road this autumn, with two dates to choose from: Sunday 13 September and Sunday 22 November. It's a luxury workshop series that takes you through the basics of perfumery in a way that's meant to be easy to get into, even if you've never thought about how a scent is actually put together.
Each session is led by expert stylists who walk you through the different scent families and a range of exclusive blends. You'll spend the time sampling a wide selection of accords, and from there you build your own signature perfume that fits your personal style. It's less about following a recipe and more about figuring out what you actually like, so you walk away with something you've designed yourself rather than just a bottle off a shelf.

The dates are spread across the autumn, so you can pick the one that suits you best. On Sunday 13 September, there are two slots: 12:30 to 14:30 and 15:30 to 17:30. Sunday 22 November also runs two sessions, starting at 12:30 and 15:30 to 17:30. Both are held at The Old Ship Hotel, 32-38 Kings Road, BN1 1NR, right in the heart of Brighton.
