UK hip-hop titan Essa joins forces with groove architect J-Felix to launch The Fifth Foundation, a supergroup bridging rap and modern jazz, live at Alphabet.
Essa and J-Felix are bringing The Fifth Foundation to A L P H A B E T on Friday 2 October, their new supergroup bridging rap and modern jazz.
It's a pairing of two different worlds. Essa is a heavyweight of UK hip-hop, and J-Felix is a groove architect; together they've formed The Fifth Foundation to pull rap's golden era across to the rhythms of the modern jazz underground. The project has already caught the attention of Wordplay Magazine, which called it "so refreshing... both contemporary and timeless."
On the night, the two of them take the stage as Essa and J-Felix, with the set built around the material of The Fifth Foundation. It's an 18+ event, presented by A L P H A B E T.
