Immersive guided family experience with storytelling and imaginative play led by Professor P. Tinkleberry, where children explore the Royal Pavilion on a dragon-themed quest.
Dragon Hunters Wanted! A Magical Quest comes to the Royal Pavilion on Friday 21 August, a guided family experience that turns the building into a bit of a game. It's led by Professor P. Tinkleberry, a characterful 'Senior Dragologist' who deputises visitors into an official Dragon Hunt Team right from the start, so the kids aren't just watching โ they're part of the crew.
From there, the team is marched through the Pavilion's key rooms on a structured route. There are storytelling stops along the way, where children are introduced to dragon-themed narratives, a bit of historical context, and visual clues hidden in the architecture and decoration of the building itself. It's the kind of thing that makes you look at the rooms differently, spotting details you'd usually walk right past.
The whole quest builds towards a gentle, theatrical reveal of a 'dragon' in the Lecture Room, and the storytelling plays on themes of curiosity, kindness and imagination rather than anything too intense. It's designed for families, so it's as much about the walk through the Pavilion as it is about the story.
