DOT Open-Air

DOT are taking over Horizon Nightclub on Saturday 25 July for DOT Open-Air, a day-to-night session that runs from 3:00pm through to 10:00pm. It's an open-air affair, and the whole thing centres on Horizon's terrace, which they're upgrading and giving the DOT treatment for the day.

If you've spent any time around the city's dance scene, you'll know the DOT name. This one brings together some of Brighton's brightest talent for a day of serious beats, so the focus is firmly on the local DJs and the music they're bringing. It's a daytime start, which changes the whole feel of a club night — you're dancing in the light and on the terrace rather than tucked away in a dark room, and it stretches across seven hours, so there's plenty of room to settle in.

Horizon is over on Kings Road, just a short walk from the seafront, so it's easy to get to. The terrace is the main draw here, and with the DOT treatment it'll be the heart of the afternoon. It's a day of beats in the open air, with the music running from mid-afternoon well into the evening, and the local talent taking care of the decks.
