Decadance Club Night

Decadance Club Night is back at A L P H A B E T on Saturday 10 October, taking over the venue from 22:30 until 2:00 AM. It's a night that looks back to the mid-80s Italo Disco craze, when vocoders, synthesisers and drum machines ruled the dance floor, and it's run as a decadent disco club night rather than a standard DJ set.

The music pairs synth-driven tunes with a heavy dose of Italo Disco, Hi-NRG, Space Disco and Synth-Boogie, and it doesn't stop there — left-field dance anomalies get a look-in too. If you're familiar with the sound, you'll recognise the Italo influence in the bright, melodic synth lines and the steady, driving beats that defined the era. The addition of Hi-NRG and Space Disco pushes things into faster, more dancefloor-focused territory, while the Synth-Boogie and left-field bits keep it from feeling like a simple nostalgia trip.

On the decks are Flash Delirium & Decadance, with Decadance DJs Abel Oberon and Pierre and guest HP Sorcery. Between them, they'll be working through that mix of synth-heavy disco and the more eccentric dance records that fit the theme. It's a line-up built around the Italo sound, so you can expect the vocoders and drum machines to be front and centre throughout the night.
