Family craft workshops where children aged 3-10 and their parents create animal-themed spoon puppets, inspired by the Big Red Bath production.
Crafty Kids: Animal Spoon Puppets comes to the Brighton Dome on Sunday 14 March, part of a family craft series run by artist and workshop leader Laura Halliwell. It's a session where children and their grown-ups work side by side, so you're in the mix rather than just watching from the sidelines. This animal-themed edition takes its lead from Big Red Bath, a Full House Theatre and Half Moon production staged at the Dome, and turns the creatures from that show into spoon puppets. All the materials are provided and the sessions are designed to be mess-free, which is a relief if you're not in the mood for a post-workshop scrub-down.
It's aimed at children aged 3 to 10 working with a parent or carer, so it's one for the younger end of the family. There are two sessions on the day: 11.30am and 2pm, with doors opening at 11am and 1.30pm respectively, and each one runs for 50 minutes. You'll need a ticket for everyone attending, and there's a maximum of two children per adult, so if you've got a larger brood, you'll need another grown-up to join in.

Tickets are £10 for one adult and one child, with an extra £8 for each additional child. Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival members save £2 on full price tickets. The Dome is on Church Street, BN1 1UE, so it's easy enough to get to in the centre.
