A recurring Thursday night party ritual at the Black Lion featuring DJs spinning pop anthems and party bangers from the 2000s to current hits.
Cheap Thrills is back at the Black Lion on Thursday 9 July, the start of a run that keeps going well into autumn. It's a Thursday night ritual in Brighton, and the format is simple: DJs spinning pop anthems and party bangers from the 2000s, the 2010s, and current hits, with the whole thing built around keeping the dancefloor full. It's a party night rather than a gig, and it's one that comes back every week.
If you're not around on the 9th, there are plenty of other chances to catch it. The run continues on 16, 23, and 30 July, then carries on through August on the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. September brings four more dates on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, before it wraps up on 1 October. That's thirteen Thursdays in a row, so it's easy to slot in whenever you're free.

It's held at the Black Lion, 14 Black Lion Street, BN1 1ND, and it kicks off at 22:00. Entry is free, so there's nothing to book in advance — just turn up when you're ready. With the 2000s and 2010s pop and the current hits all in the mix, it's the kind of night that works as a mid-week one or as a warm-up for the weekend.
