Live music session featuring Cannabis Man, Flail and Pterosaur at the Pipeline venue in Brighton.
Cannabis Man are playing Pipeline on Wednesday 7 October, with Flail and Pterosaur on the bill. It's a three-band night, so you've got a full evening of music rather than just one set. Pipeline is over on Little East Street, just off the seafront, so it's an easy one to get to if you're already in town.
Cannabis Man are an East London-based stoner/sludge two-piece, and they've added a little disclaimer to their description: 'Not actual Cannabis Men'. If you're not familiar with the terms, stoner and sludge usually point to the heavier, slower end of the rock spectrum — the kind of music that takes its time and leans into the low end. Being a two-piece means it's just two people on stage, which often gives a band a different kind of energy than a full group.
Flail and Pterosaur round out the line-up, so it's three acts in one night. Between the three of them, you're looking at a good few hours of music, and with the bill leaning towards the heavier side of things, it's the sort of night that works best if you're in the mood for something loud. The venue is Pipeline, 6 Little East Street, BN1 1HT, right in the heart of Brighton.
