A string quartet performs a tribute to Bruce Springsteen in a candlelit concert at the Royal Pavilion.
A string quartet is taking on The Boss at the Royal Pavilion on Friday 30 October. It's a Candlelight concert, which means the room is lit by candlelight while the quartet plays through Bruce Springsteen's songs. The whole thing is presented by Fever Originals, and it's a tribute concert, not an official Springsteen production.
The setlist is a long one, pulling from across his career. The tentative programme includes Dancing In the Dark, I'm On Fire, Born in the U.S.A., Streets of Philadelphia, Born to Run, Hungry Heart, The River, Thunder Road, Tougher Than the Rest, Badlands, Atlantic City, The Rising and Jungleland. That's thirteen songs in an hour, so the quartet will be moving through them fairly quickly, and the arrangements will be for strings rather than the full E Street Band sound.
It's held at the Royal Pavilion, the seaside palace of the Prince Regent, George IV, which John Nash transformed between 1815 and 1823 into one of the most dazzling and exotic buildings in the British Isles. The concert runs for 60 minutes, starting at 19:00, with doors opening 45 minutes before. Standard tickets are £27.50 as a guide price.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind. Audiences aged 8 and over can attend, and under-16s have to be accompanied by an adult. Seating is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each zone, so if you're keen on a particular spot, it's worth getting there early.
