Candlelight concert of Hans Zimmer's film music played by Candlelight under the glow of candlelight in the Royal Pavilion.
Candlelight: Hans Zimmer's Best Works is coming to the Royal Pavilion for a run of dates starting Saturday 14 November, with more performances on Friday 11 December, Friday 20 December, Thursday 21 January, Saturday 23 January, and Saturday 20 February. It's a Candlelight concert, so the music is played under the glow of candlelight in a venue that's not usually used for this sort of thing.
The music focuses on Hans Zimmer, the composer often called the 'Maestro of the Movies'. Over the last few decades, he's shaped film scoring from Gotham in Batman to the seven seas in Pirates of the Caribbean, with credits on the BBC's Planet Earth II and a long collaboration with Christopher Nolan. He's won an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, and four Grammy Awards across more than 100 soundtracks since the 1980s.

The Royal Pavilion itself is a fitting setting for it. Its interiors have been home to dragons for more than two centuries, with the creatures inhabiting ceilings and chandeliers, and no one has yet counted them all in the building's 200-year history. The show runs about 60 minutes, with doors opening 45 minutes before the start and no late entry permitted. It's recommended for ages 8 and over. Standard tickets are £25.00 guide price, and the venue is at 4-5 Pavilion Buildings, Brighton, BN1 1EE.
