A live, multi-sensory musical experience performed by candlelight in the awe-inspiring Royal Pavilion, featuring the music of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.
The Royal Pavilion is set to host a series of performances that offer a different way to experience the iconic Brighton landmark. Fever’s Candlelight series is returning to the city, this time bringing a programme that features the music of Coldplay and Ed Sheeran. The concept involves the interior of the pavilion being filled with thousands of candles, providing the light for a live string ensemble. It is an initiative designed to make various genres of music more accessible by moving them out of traditional concert halls and into local heritage sites, using the specific acoustics and character of the pavilion at 4-5 Pavilion Buildings.

The setlist for these evenings covers a broad range of hits that most will recognise. From the Coldplay side, the musicians perform arrangements of 'Clocks', 'Fix You', and 'Viva La Vida'. These are paired with Ed Sheeran’s chart-toppers, including 'Bad Habits', 'Photograph', and 'Perfect'. The performers vary depending on the date you choose, with the Chaos Collective and the Sussex String Quartet both scheduled to take the stage. Each concert runs for approximately 60 minutes, which is a manageable length for an evening out. The organisers open the doors 45 minutes before the music begins to allow everyone to find their places and settle into the environment.
If you are looking at the calendar, there are quite a few options throughout the first half of 2026.
