A candlelight concert featuring the string quartet Fever performing carols and festive songs in the Royal Pavilion garden.
Candlelight: Christmas Classics comes to the Royal Pavilion on Sunday 20 December, with two performances on the one night. It's part of the Candlelight series, which stages live music in venues lit by candlelight — this one fills the room with fairy lights, too.
The music is in the hands of the string quartet Fever, and the programme is a mix of carols, festive songs, and classical pieces. You'll hear O Holy Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Last Christmas, and All I Want for Christmas Is You alongside Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. It's a tentative list, so the set might shift a bit, but the festive theme stays the same.
Candlelight is a global series that's run in over a hundred venues worldwide, partnering with local artists in each city. The Royal Pavilion edition is open to audiences aged 8 and over, and anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
