Actress and poet Caitlin O'Ryan performs her debut poetry collection At What Point live at Komedia.
Caitlin O'Ryan brings her debut poetry collection, At What Point, to Komedia on Wednesday 25 November. It's a spoken-word night, so you'll hear the poems read live rather than just reading them on the page.
O'Ryan is an actor and poet from Greater Manchester, now based in London, and her work is known for being vulnerable, confronting and deeply relatable. The show takes its name from the collection itself, At What Point (Burning Eye Books), which opens with the viral poem about the cost of being a woman. That one has amassed more than 18 million views online and landed her a spot on BBC Woman's Hour. The book will be available to buy after the performance, so if you like what you hear, you can take a copy home with you.
Her writing has been shared by Jameela Jamil, Natasha Bedingfield, Deborah Frances-White and Sara Cox, and she launched the collection at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in 2025 in conversation with Hollie McNish. On screen, she's best known as Lizzie Wemyss in Outlander, and she also hosts the podcast Have You Got Your Sht Together?.

As a spoken-word performer, she's headlined nights like Spitnights, Groove Verse, Poet's Palace, VERSES x Roundhouse and Voices in Power, and performed on behalf of Amnesty International at Glastonbury 2025.
