Album launch event for Bunkr's 'Signals' featuring live performances by Bunkr, Simon Heartfield, and Songe at Alphabet, Brighton.
If you are looking for plans in Brighton towards the end of May, there is an electronic music event happening at Alphabet on the 28th. It is the album launch for 'Signals', the fourth LP from Bunkr, which is the project of local musician and producer James Dean. The record is being released through the label VLSI and leans into a mix of electronica, ambient, and melodic techno sounds. It is worth noting that this is an 18+ event, so keep that in mind if you are planning to head down.

Bunkr will be joined on the night by two other acts. Simon Heartfield is also on the bill; he is a musician, producer, DJ, and videographer whose work tends to explore deeper, emotive styles. Alongside him, the duo Songe will be performing. They are an Anglo-French act based here in Brighton who incorporate a variety of instruments into their electronic setup, including synthesizers, theremins, harps, and keyboards. The whole evening is being presented by Melting Vinyl.
Tickets for the night are priced at £13.75. Since the venue is Alphabet, it should be a fairly intimate setting for this kind of lineup. It is a straightforward setup: three distinct acts exploring different corners of electronic music, all centered around the release of the new Bunkr album. If you are interested in checking out the local scene or just want to see what these artists are putting together for the launch, the event is scheduled for the evening of May 28th.
