Brazilian band Atalhos performs a concert at Daltons Brighton to promote their new album, 'The Force of Things'.
The band Atalhos is heading our way soon for a show titled Atalhos / Special Guests (you might also see it listed as Atalhos + TBA). The main reason for the visit is to showcase their new album, THE FORCE OF THINGS (A FORÇA DAS COISAS). What makes this release particularly intriguing is the concept behind it. The band describes the work as a "consistent and dreamy autobiography," and they drew specific inspiration from the writings of French philosopher Simone de Beauvoir, particularly her third memoir. It’s not every day you get a rock show rooted in existentialist literature, so that context alone makes the evening worth considering.

If you’re keen to check out this blend of music and philosophy, the confirmed date for the gig is Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Doors are set to open at 7:30 PM (19:30), and the night is scheduled to run until 11:30 PM. The location is Daltons Brighton, situated right on the Lower Promenade at Madeira Dr. It’s a straightforward event logistically, but keep in mind the venue has set an age restriction of 18+ for this performance.
This show is essentially a preview, as the official release date for THE FORCE OF THINGS is scheduled for June 24, 2025. So, you’ll be hearing the new material well ahead of time. Tickets are reasonably priced, coming in at £12.36. It looks like a focused, intimate evening of new music from a band that clearly puts thought into their creative process, all happening right here in Brighton and Hove.
