A guided photography and mindfulness experience designed to help participants slow down and reconnect with the city of Brighton through creative prompts.
If you have been looking for a way to slow down and see Brighton from a different perspective, there is a series of guided walks happening throughout June 2026 called 'City Uncovered: Brighton'. One of the specific sessions, 'A Mindful Discovery Photo Walk', focuses on combining mindfulness with photography. The idea is to move away from technical perfection and instead use simple creative prompts to help you observe the city more closely. It is less about capturing the perfect shot and more about being present in the moment while you walk.

The route starts at the Jubilee Library on Jubilee Street, which serves as the meeting point. From there, the walk winds through a mix of hidden alleyways, independent streets, and quieter corners of the city. The path eventually leads towards the Brighton Palace Pier and the Hove seafront, timed to coincide with the golden hour. Since the walk is guided by a local expert, it offers a structured way to explore these areas without the usual rush of daily life.
This activity is scheduled for a few different dates in June: June 3rd from 19:00 to 21:00, June 5th from 14:00 to 16:00, June 12th from 19:00 to 21:00, and June 14th from 19:00 to 21:00. The cost to participate is ÂŁ50.00. You do not need any professional photography equipment to join; whether you prefer using a dedicated camera or just your mobile phone, the focus remains on the experience of the walk itself. It is open to anyone interested in exploring the intersection of mindfulness and urban photography.
