A standing tribute night to emo music featuring live bands and DJs, with confetti and nostalgia for teenage music fans.
The Emo Festival comes to O2 Academy Bournemouth on Saturday 27 March 2027. It's a tribute night built around the biggest emo songs of the era, played by a live band, with DJs spinning the anthems all night long and confetti thrown in on top. The organisers describe it as "the greatest tribute night to the music that was never just a phase," and it's pitched as a teenage nostalgia night for anyone who spent their younger years with those records on repeat.
It's a standing event, so you'll be on your feet for the whole thing, and it's not affiliated with the artists it covers. The night is built around the songs themselves rather than a specific line-up, with the live band and the DJs taking turns to keep the music going from start to finish. The confetti is just one of the extra bits they throw in to lean into the nostalgia of it all.
