A festival experience dedicated to 2000s emo, nu-metal and pop-punk from the Kerrang era, featuring live bands and DJs.
Emo Festival comes to The Old Fire Station on Friday 9 October, from 6pm to 10pm. It's a tribute night dedicated to the emo, nu-metal and pop-punk of the 2000s, the kind of music that defined the Kerrang era. The night is built around a live band and live DJs playing the biggest emo songs and nostalgic anthems, with live performers and confetti thrown in to round out the room.
EmoFest describes itself as 'the greatest emo tribute night to the music that was never just a phase'. The Bournemouth date is part of a wider run of shows, and the format is the same as the one they've taken across more than 21 cities in the UK and Europe: a mix of live band and DJ sets, with the focus on the songs and the era rather than any one particular act. If you spent your teens with a Kerrang magazine in your bag, you'll recognise the sound they're going for.
