The Big Glow Show

The Big Glow Show comes to Shelley Park on Friday 6 November, starting at 5:00 pm. It's a family-friendly festival of light, music and entertainment, put on by Stir Events CIC as a magical alternative to traditional fireworks.

The main draw is the laser displays, which are choreographed to music and run three times throughout the night, so you can catch one early on or stay for the later ones. Between the shows, there's a fairground with rides and stalls, and food and drink available on site. The entertainment goes beyond the lasers, too: live singers, circus performers and fire artists will be performing throughout the evening, and the fairground attractions run alongside the shows.

Stir Events CIC describes it as an inclusive, community-focused experience for all ages, and that's the core of it — the laser shows, the live acts, the fairground and the food all happening in the same space. It's designed as a night out for families, with the laser displays as the anchor.

It's free to attend, with tickets available via Eventbrite ranging from £0 to £38.62. The event runs from 5:00 pm at Shelley Park, Overcliff Drive, Boscombe, BH5 1LN, Bournemouth.
