A feel-good musical show with rock'n'roll, pop and nostalgia hits from the 50s to the 80s, featuring electrifying performances and comedy sketches.
That'll Be The Day returns to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 27 March 2027, with a brand-new production of its long-running show. If you've seen it before, it's worth knowing this is a fresh version rather than a repeat of previous tours.
The show is a feel-good mix of rock'n'roll, pop and nostalgia hits, with the music running from the 1950s right through to the 1980s. It's not just a concert, either — the music sits alongside comedy sketches, so you'll get a fair bit of laugh-out-loud stuff between the songs. The production describes it as a joyful tribute to the artists and the tracks that shaped generations, and the setlist covers four decades of chart-topping favourites.
Because it spans such a wide stretch of time, it's the kind of night that works for a few different generations in one room. You'll hear the early rock'n'roll that started it all, the pop of the sixties and seventies, and the hits of the eighties, all woven together into one show. The comedy sketches run throughout, so the music doesn't just run back-to-back.
