Steve Backshall: Deadly Live!

Steve Backshall brings Deadly Live! to BIC Windsor Hall on Friday 30 October, a matinee that starts at 2:00pm. It's a wildlife variety show hosted by Backshall himself, built around the CBBC series that carries the same name. The live experience returns after a successful tour in 2025, and this time it's coming to Bournemouth.

What you'll see on stage is a mix of daring stunts, experiments and cutting-edge science. Backshall tracks down some of the world's most formidable predators across land, sea and sky, so the animals run the show. Big cats and birds of prey share the bill with snakes and Dinomania dinosaurs, and the set moves from one to the next rather than sticking to one corner of the natural world. It's a wide net to cast, but that's the point of the variety format.

Backshall is the one holding it all together, and the whole thing is built around the CBBC show, so if you've followed that, you'll recognise the territory. The 2025 tour took it on the road, and this is the return of that live version, with the stunts and the science as the main draw.
