Snow White Ballet

Varna International Ballet bring Snow White to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on Thursday 11 February 2027, with two performances on the one day: a 3:30pm matinee and a 7:30pm evening show. It's a full-company production, so you've got the ballet and the orchestra together on stage.

Snow White is a ballet for all ages, and the music is a bit of a mix. While Tchaikovsky takes the lead, the score also draws from Rachmaninov, Pugni and Grieg, so it's not just one composer carrying the whole thing. The production is described as being full of choreography, vibrant characters and special effects, and it's the story we all know, told through dance rather than dialogue.

Behind it is the Varna International Ballet & Orchestra, founded in 1947. They're known for their award-winning soloists and a large corps de ballet, and this is their return to the UK after a debut tour. The company is led by Artistic Director Sergei Bobrov, with Music Director and Chief Conductor Filippo Dessi heading up the orchestra.
