A coastal running festival featuring a half-marathon, 10km, 5km and junior categories along the Bournemouth seafront, with charity fundraising opportunities.
Run Bournemouth returns to the Bournemouth seafront on 10 and 11 October 2026, taking over the promenade for a full weekend of racing. It's a coastal running festival that stretches along the seafront, passing Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers and cutting through the Lower Gardens, with the finish line at Bournemouth Pier Approach known for the crowds that gather to cheer everyone in.
The line-up covers a range of distances, so there's something for different levels. The Bournemouth Half Marathon is the longest, followed by the Supersonic 10K and the Supernova 5K. The Supernova is the one that stands out: it's a night race where runners wear headlamps and fluorescent gear, which changes the whole feel of the event. For the younger ones, there's a Junior 2K, a Junior 1.5K, and the Kids' Kilometre, so it's something the whole family can get involved in over the two days.
Beyond the racing, there's a strong charity side to it. You can run as part of a team for Arthritis UK, NSPCC, or the British Heart Foundation, and in return you get training support, official kit and access to their running communities. It's a good way to turn a personal goal into something for a cause, and you'll be running alongside plenty of others doing the same.

Entry prices range from ยฃ15.50 for the Junior races up to ยฃ46.25 for the Half Marathon, depending on which distance you pick. With the routes being flat and fast, it's a decent spot if you're chasing a personal best, and the seafront setting means you've got the ocean as your backdrop the whole way.
