Pier Journal Vol.013 Launch Party

Pier Journal is launching its next printed magazine with a party at Patch on Friday 9 October, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The venue is on the first floor of Bobby's & Co in Bournemouth. It's a launch party in the truest sense: the new issue comes out during the Arts by the Sea Fringe, and this is the night to get your hands on it.

There's more to the evening than just the magazine. The party is built around three things you can do while you're there: the Hearing Colours soundsystem will be running, there's a photo essay exhibition to walk through, and Calabrese Kitchen is providing food to sample. It's the kind of night where you can drift between the music, the photos, and the food, with the new issue of the journal sitting at the centre of it.

To get your bearings on the wider context, the party is part of the Arts by the Sea Fringe, which is the second edition of the festival. The Fringe takes the creativity of the main Arts by the Sea programme and spreads it across independent venues throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, rather than keeping it in one place. This year's theme is 'ELEMENTAL', and the Fringe strand is run in collaboration with We Broke Free, the South Coast independent music curators and specialists.
