Jongleurs Stand Up Comedy

Jongleurs Comedy are bringing a night of stand-up to the Key West Bar and Grill on Thursday 16 July, right at the end of Bournemouth Pier. It's a full line-up, with MC Phil Reid running the evening and Sara Johnson, Jason Patterson, and Mike McClean taking the stage. The whole thing is put on by Jongleurs, a name that's been around the comedy circuit for a long time, so you've got a proper night of stand-up rather than just a couple of acts.

The venue is part of the appeal here. Key West is a bar and restaurant on the pier, known for its panoramic views and its terrace. It's set up for nights out, with a big disco ball and lighting that fits the bill for a comedy club atmosphere. It's the kind of place that runs tribute nights and comedy-with-dinner throughout the year, so it's well-used to having a crowd in for a show.

Because it's a restaurant and bar, the night works as a meal and drinks thing as much as a comedy one. It's aimed at adults and groups of friends, and the organisers explicitly suggest rounding up your mates for it.
