Free festive sing-along with local choirs, carol singers and marching bands in Bournemouth Square.
Festive Carols & Local Choirs kicks off in Bournemouth Square on Thursday 12 November, and it doesn't stop there — it runs right through to 20 December, so you've got plenty of dates to choose from as the weeks roll on towards Christmas.
The whole thing is a free festive sing-along, and the singing comes from a few different places. Local community choirs take the lead, joined by carol singers and marching bands, all performing out in the open in the square. It's a community-led affair rather than a single concert, with the local choirs providing the main sound.
Because it's a sing-along, it's as much about joining in as it is about listening. The carol singers and marching bands add their own layers to the mix, and the whole thing is free, so you can just turn up and get involved without needing to book anything in advance. It's a good way to get into the Christmas spirit early, especially since it starts in mid-November and keeps going well into December.
