Deeper Drum & Bass returns to Canvas on Saturday 26 September, another session in the series they run across Bournemouth and Southampton. The night is built around the soulful, jazzy and liquid side of drum and bass, aimed at listeners who prefer the deeper, more melodic edges of the genre rather than the heavy, high-energy side. It's a free entry, all-inclusive night, and they keep a door open for local producers and DJs to get involved, with chances to play future events or land a guest mix on their weekly radio show on Xtra Hot.
The September session comes with the tagline 'Deeper is back, Heavy rollers. Zero compromise.' On the decks are Tayla (Russell 'Tayla' Taylor), Unorganised Ostriches and Flown, taking the night from the soulful, melodic sound the series is known for through to the heavier rollers the tagline points towards.
