Christmas in Bournemouth

Christmas in Bournemouth returns to the town centre this winter, with Christmas Tree Wonderland running from 13 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. It's a revamped take on the town's festive season, put on by Seventa Events and SKATE Bournemouth and sponsored by Bournemouth Town Centre BID and Bournemouth Coastal BID, with the BID funding the lamppost lights.

There are three main things to do in one go. The Bournemouth Christmas Market is in the Square, billed as the largest ever in the centre of town with over 40 traders and a mix of local and national names. The stalls are open daily until 8pm (7pm on Sundays), and the food stalls stay open until 10pm every night. Then there's Christmas Tree Wonderland, which spreads across the Square, the Lower Gardens, The Triangle, Westover Road, Beale Place, Horseshoe Common and Lansdowne. And in the Lower Gardens is SKATE Bournemouth, the South Coast's largest outdoor ice rink.

Overlooking the market and the trail is the Alpine Lodge, which serves mulled wine and hosts quiz nights, Christmas karaoke and bingo, with live music on Sundays and Christmas characters appearing every Saturday and Sunday morning. Live choirs and carol singers perform in the Square, and artificial snowfall moments land on the crowds. There's also a Christmas Trail activity booklet to pick up at the Alpine Lodge or Santa's Workshop, with quizzes, games and a chance to win a family holiday.

Entry is free. The market runs for six weeks, and Christmas Tree Wonderland stays up until 4 January, so there's plenty of time to fit it all in.
