A charity dance event where attendees dress up from their favourite eras to raise money for Dementia UK, with music provided by local DJ Steven from PicknMixx.
Dancing Through the Decades is coming to the Corfe Mullen Royal British Legion on Saturday 21 November, with all proceeds going to Dementia UK. The premise is a simple one: you turn up dressed in your favourite era and dance your way through the decades, with the music running from the 1960s right through to the noughties. If you've got a particular decade you're fond of, this is your excuse to dig out the costume and wear it on the dancefloor.
Behind the night are Kimberley Jolliffe of We LIGHT to Party and local DJ Steven from PicknMixx, who'll be providing the music. It's a charity fundraiser, so the money raised goes to Dementia UK, a charity that supports people living with dementia and their families. The dress-up part is optional, but it's a big part of the evening's appeal, and you'll likely see a good mix of eras on display.
Alongside the dancing, there's a raffle running throughout the night with a few prizes worth going for. There's a short break for four at Hoburne, breakfast for two at The Bear of Burton, and vouchers for The Quay Inn at Wareham and Chez Fred in Westbourne. If you're not one for the dancefloor, the raffle is another way to get involved and contribute to the cause.
