One of Dorset's biggest summer music festivals with live reggae, ska and dancehall, Caribbean food and family entertainment.
The Bournemouth Reggae Weekender returns to King's Park on 24 July 2027, one of the South Coast's biggest summer music festivals. It's three days of reggae, ska and dancehall spread across the site, with a VIP area, Caribbean food and family entertainment running alongside the music. If you've been before, you'll know the drill: the music is the main draw, but the food and the family-friendly side of things mean it works as a full weekend out rather than just a few gigs.
There's a bit more to it than just the stages, too. The festival is run in partnership with Afro*disiac Live Radio CIC, a community music and cultural organisation that runs youth DJ and radio workshops and programmes celebrating diversity, culture and community engagement across Dorset and beyond. Every ticket supports that work, so your entry goes toward keeping those workshops going. The event is sponsored by Duppy, Share and Turtle Bay.

The VIP area is there if you want a bit more comfort, and the whole thing is set up as a family affair, so it's as much about spending the weekend there as it is about the individual acts.
