A free, weekly community 5k run, walk, or jog event held at Kings Park Athletics Stadium, open to all abilities.
Bournemouth parkrun runs every Saturday morning at Kings Park Athletics Stadium, Kings Park Drive, Bournemouth, Dorset BH7 7AF. It's a free, weekly 5k community event, and it's open to anyone who wants to walk, jog, run, volunteer or just come along and spectate.
The course is a 50/50 mix of grass and tarmac, run over three laps around the grounds of Kings Park. Over those laps, you'll pass the cemetery and the play park, cut through 'the Woods' and go by the skate park, with the finish on a slightly downhill section of grass. Because it's a loop, you'll see the same landmarks a few times, and the grass-tarmac split means it's a bit more varied than a flat road run.
It's a community thing, so it's as much about the people as the running. You'll find walkers and joggers alongside those who come to run it properly, and plenty of volunteers keeping things moving. If you're not in the mood to move, you can just watch from the sidelines.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Bournemouth and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Once you've finished, there's a post-parkrun coffee served in the café inside the stadium, so you can sit and wind down before heading home. It starts at 9:00am every Saturday, and it's free to take part.
