An Alpine-themed festive market with over 40 traders selling gifts and treats, live music, mulled wine, and seasonal activities in the town centre.
The Bournemouth Christmas Market returns to The Square in the town centre from 13 November to 31 December, running for about six weeks across the festive season. It's an Alpine-themed village right in the middle of town, and it's one of the South Coast's biggest festive events, drawing over 5 million visitors over the course of the season.
Inside the village, more than 40 traders set up, selling handmade and traditional gifts, winter accessories, homeware and gourmet treats. There's a hog roast on the go and luxury hot chocolates for when it gets cold. The Alpine Lodge bar looks over the market and Christmas Tree Wonderland, serving mulled wine and hot toddies, and the square comes alive with live choirs, carol singers and scheduled snowfall moments.

The market is one of three strands to the town's festive offering. The other two are the free Christmas Tree Wonderland light trail in the Lower Gardens and a seasonal ice rink, so you can easily make a day of it by drifting between the three. The market itself stays open from 13 November through to New Year's Eve, so there's plenty of time to head down whenever suits you.
