Young Rep and The Company Showcase

Young Rep and The Company are taking over The Door at Birmingham Rep on Thursday 26 November, for their annual showcase. It's a night built around the theatre's Young Rep Seniors and The Company members, who get the stage to share the work they've been on. The evening is put together from monologues, short scenes and original spoken word pieces, with the performers showing their creativity and skill in a supportive space where emerging artists can explore new ideas and present work they've either written themselves or chosen.

Because it's a showcase, the night is a bit of a mixed bag. You'll get solo turns, small scenes with a few people on stage, and spoken word pieces that come from the performers' own writing. It's as much about the process as the result, and you'll see a range of voices and styles rather than one single show. The whole thing runs for two hours and fifteen minutes, which includes a fifteen-minute interval to stretch your legs and grab a drink.

It's a 12+ show, so it's fine for teens and adults. Tickets are £6, and it all goes down at The Door inside the Rep. If you're into seeing new work from the city's younger performers, this is a good place to start.
