The oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament in the world, featuring 219 matches across eleven days of competition at the Utilita Arena.
The YONEX All England Open Badminton Championships return to the Utilita Arena Birmingham from 4 to 14 March 2027, with play starting at 10:00 each morning. It's the oldest and most prestigious badminton tournament in the world, with a history that goes back to 1899, and it's one of only four Super 1000 events on the BWF World Tour. Badminton England runs it alongside the BWF, and it's widely regarded as the one tournament every player wants to win.
This edition is a step up from the last. The 2026 championships ran for six days, but this one expands to eleven, and the Men's and Women's Singles draws have been widened to the top 48 athletes in each discipline. There's also a new Group Phase, which pushes the whole programme up to 219 matches across the eleven days. It's a lot more badminton to get through than usual, so you've got plenty of room to pick your days and follow the players you're interested in.
