Free, inclusive watercolour workshop led by Asmah where women aged 19 and over design and paint winter floral cards, part of the Rise & Thrive wellbeing programme.
Winter Watercolour Blooms Painting is at Saint Ambrose Barlow RC Church on Friday 4 December, a three-hour workshop led by Asmah, a freelance mixed media and watercolour artist from the Midlands who works under the name Art 4 The Heart. Her work draws on nature, seasonal blooms, florals and landscapes, and she runs welcoming sessions built around relaxation, self-expression and creative confidence. Over the course of the evening, you'll design and paint your own watercolour cards or postcards inspired by winter florals and take them home with you.
The session is part of 'Rise & Thrive', a programme of ten wellbeing workshops run by Sistermatic Change and funded by YNNS. It's designed to support women from the Midlands and members of the Deaf community across the region to connect, enhance their wellbeing and pick up new skills. The workshop is for women aged 19 and over, and a British Sign Language interpreter will be present, making the session fully inclusive and welcoming to members of the Deaf community. Tea and coffee are provided, so there's no need to bring your own.
