Upfront Comedy Christmas Special

Upfront Comedy are bringing their Christmas Special to The Studio at the Birmingham Rep on Wednesday 23 December. It's a night of stand-up comedy put together by the Upfront Comedy team, who describe the bill as bringing together some of the funniest voices in British comedy.

Aurie Styla hosts the evening, with Marlon Davies, Jo Enright and Ali Woods taking the stage. Davies is a face you'll recognise from Live at the Apollo, and Enright has appeared in Phoenix Nights and Life's Too Short. Between them, they cover a good bit of ground across the UK comedy circuit, so it's a proper mixed bill rather than one act carrying the whole thing.

The show runs for about two hours, with an interval in the middle, so there's a break to stretch your legs and grab a drink before the second half gets going. It's aimed at a 16+ crowd, and no under-5s are admitted, so it's more of an adult night out than a family affair.

Tickets are £23, and that includes a £1 restoration levy on any ticket over £13, though schools' tickets are exempt. With the date falling on the 23rd, it's a good spot for a night out just before Christmas kicks in properly. The Studio is part of the Birmingham Rep, so you'll find it right in the heart of the city.
